Colonial BancGroup, a $20 billion bank holding company, has made some very smart moves over the last few years. They wanted their 2004 annual, the fifth produced by see see eye, to show investors and analysts that more is to come. Given their locations and growth in fast-growing markets and total shareholder returns more than double the S&P 500, we think the investment community might concur.
